Happy Spring everyone! I’m so glad that the weather is finally warming up. In the upcoming days, I’ll be posting recaps of my spring break. Today, we’re starting with the first day of my break- Easter Sunday.
Even though I technically started my vacation on Saturday, it was really only a driving day to get us a little closer to our destination. On Sunday, we finished driving to Pigeon Forge, TN. The first thing my family and I did when we got into town was have a late lunch/ early dinner at Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen. The restaurant is family-style, so everyone at your table has to agree on what the whole table gets for food, and it’s literally unlimited food. The food is super good and I definitely recommend going if you’re near one of their locations. Outside the restaurant, which is at The Island, there were these really cool balloon Easter Bunnies, so I had to take a picture with one.
After our meal, we drove into the Great Smokey Mountain National Park. We drove around for a little, bit ended up stopping at the Newfound Gap and hiking a little of the Alum Cave Trail. At both spots, we looked at the absolutely gorgeous views and took a ton of pictures. From there, we drove through Gatlinburg and back into Pigeon Forge, where we stopped for some Krispy Kreme donuts (yum!). We then went and checked into our hotel.
I hope you guys enjoy these posts about my spring break. Expect a new one tomorrow!
Lots of love,
Toni
