I can’t believe it’s November already, and we’re almost midway through the month! This semester has absolutely been flying by for me, and whether we’re ready or not, Christmas time’s a-coming! I’m always super pumped about the Christmas season, and love going to holiday events to get me into the holiday season. I’ve been to so many fun ones, so today, I’ll be sharing my favorites!
Christmas Celebration at SeaWorld Orlando
SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration is EASILY my favorite holiday event every year. For some reason, every time I walk in the park, it suddenly feels like Christmas. The Sea of Trees is an absolute spectacle and always so beautiful to watch. The Clyde and Seamore Christmas show always makes me laugh (its my second favorite right after Sea Lions Tonite), and there is a new show this year so I’m hoping I’ll make it down to Orlando this year. I do have to save the best show for last, though: O Wonderous Night. The cast of the show is always so talented, and this year, it was the first Christmas show I listened to as I was getting myself into the holiday spirit. The show is truly the Christmas feeling in a 40-minute spectacular production that even features live animals, puppeteering, and even a little Christmas magic. The Christmas Celebration also features an ice skating show, which happens to be a lot of fun, an adorable holiday village, elves, and Santa Claus! If you only had the opportunity to do one Christmas event, I would totally recommend going to SeaWorld Orlando.
ChristmasTown at Busch Gardens Williamsburg
I’ve been going to ChristmasTown every year its been open at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, and it is certainly a beautiful holiday event. The shows are always so fun to watch, the lights are always gorgeous to look at, and of course, the food is delicious. Since Busch Gardens Williamsburg is located further north than many other theme parks, you do have to dress warm for the event, as it does get chilly at night, but there are plenty of hear sources, and when it’s warm enough, some of the rides are even open! ChristmasTown is another event that truly puts you in the holiday spirit at any point in the year, and its become a fun holiday tradition for my family! In the past, I have even gone with Jamie (my best friend) and her family, and its certainly even more fun with friends!
Koziar’s Christmas Village
You’ve probably never heard of this one, as it’s a pretty small little place in Bernville, Pennsylvania. Yet, as you’re driving to it at night and you come over the hill, you can’t miss it. Koziar’s Christmas Village is a family farm that is covered to a massive Christmas light display every holiday season, and you might even see a few familiar friends. I haven’t been in a while, but I remember going almost every year when I was younger and enjoying seeing all the wonderful displays.
Grinchmas at Universal Orlando
If you’re looking for a different kind of holiday cheer, Grinchmas at Universal is definitely the way to go. You can meet the Grinch himself (which is so much fun and highly recommended) and see some Who’s in Seuss Landing. In addition, the Grinchmas show they play during the holidays is so entertaining and definitely a lot of fun. At the Studios side of Universal, the Macy’s Holiday Parade combines some of Universal’s favorite characters with larger-than-life balloons, floats, and of course, live performers! The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, as well as all of the on-site hotels, are all dressed up for the holidays, which makes for some epic holiday pictures.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
I don’t think I could put a Christmas event list together without including MVMCP! It’s a true classic, and full of holiday magic. The parade is one of the best ways to ring in the holiday season, the character meet and greets are full of festive cheer, and did I mention that there’s a ton of cookie and snack stations? I had gone as a child and again last year, and I loved every second of it. There’s certainly a lot to do, so I do recommend making a list of your must-do’s to prioritize so you don’t miss what’s most important to you and your family!
Dollywood’s Smokey Mountain Christmas
Last, but certainly not least, on the list is Dollywood’s Smokey Mountain Christmas. This event is truly the epitome of a what it means to have a country Christmas. There are several staged shows throughout the park, all featuring different elements of the holiday season with incredibly talented performers. My favorite it Twas the Night Before Christmas since I absolutely love the Christmas mice in the show! I’ve also loved the gingerbread cookies they have at the bakeries for years now, and always look forward to munching on them. Plus, with Rudolph and friends visiting, it’s a great way to spend the holiday season.
I absolutely love the holidays, so going to all of these events is an absolute blast for me! I’ve vlogged quite a few of these events last year, so if you’re interested in seeing more of my experiences at all of these events, be sure to visit Terrifically Toni on YouTube! I have a whole playlist from the holidays last year, and I can guarantee lots of fun videos will be coming this holiday season! I’m so excited to get more and more into the Christmas season, so be sure to stay tuned to see it all!
Stay merry and bright,
