I have been a huge fan of Fintastic Configuration for a couple years now. I wear their jewelry almost every day, but I unfortunately never had the chance to get a shirt from the magically-inspired small shop. Luckily, after a hiatus, Dominique is bringing apparel back to shop this week, and I had the fintastic chance to get a sneak peek.
Dominique sent me the Lagoon Life tank top, and as soon as I laid eyes on it, I was obsessed. The design features one of the mermaids from the lagoon in Peter Pan lounging on a rock. As a kid, the mermaid scene was one of my favorite parts of Peter Pan, so I was so happy to have an adorable piece that ties in the memories. I tried on the shirt and it is so soft and comfortable. The shirts have such a sweet backstory, too: they are printed by a small business on Staten Island with a mission to employ the special needs community.
I’m usually an XS/S in most brands, and the small fit me perfectly and was a great length for both tucking in and leaving loose. The seafoam color was so easy to style, even in the winter. Since it’s been snowing a ton where I live, I couldn’t wear just a tank top without freezing myself. I decided to pair the tank with a cable knit sweater I got from American Eagle last year and my favorite mom jeans for the perfect casual outfit. To accessorize, I added my favorite rose gold hoops, and of course, the mermaid tail necklace, also from Fintastic Configuration (it’s all about outfit coordination!).
