Breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace

On my graduation trip, my mom and I got super lucky and we were able to snag last-minute breakfast reservations for Topolino’s Terrace. I hadn’t done a character meal in years, and I desperately wanted my “present” to include one. Topolino’s was at the top of my list because of the rave reviews, gorgeous location, and fun character meets. Our reservation was made for 7:30am, and while I’m certainly not a morning person, I was eager to get up early for this magical experience.

Topolino’s Terrace is on the top floor of the Riviera and has absolutely gorgeous views of the Epcot and Hollywood Studios resort area! When we first arrived, the restaurant was pretty quiet, but we were able to walk by some art with cute little hidden characters. We were sat almost instantly in the center of the dining room, so we were got the perfect view of all the angles. There was a patio that you could enjoy the views from with fresh air – I would’ve loved to spend more time on it, but then a huge rain storm came in! The dining room was pretty empty and quiet when we first sat around 7:30am, but was nearly full with a wait by 8pm.

The menu had so many great options that it was almost hard to choose – I ordered the quiche and my mom ordered the sour cream waffles. We were brought a pastry basket to start – everything in it was so perfect! Our meals also came out pretty quickly, and our waitress brought out a fruit plate with yogurt (which I also devoured). I absolutely loved my quiche, but didn’t eat much of the sides (personal preference, nothing on our table tasted bad). I also tried a bite of my mom’s waffles and thought they were super good! Our waitress also knew I was celebrating my graduation, so she brought out a little brownie/cake pop treat with a Riviera chocolate on it. I was so surprised by it, and while it wasn’t my favorite treat, I can’t express how much I appreciated it!

While the food was great enough on its own, the character interactions were really the highlight for me. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy are all present in outfits inspired by the art of the French and Italian Riviera. Mickey is dressed as a painter, Minnie as a writer, Donald as a sculptor, and Daisy as a ballerina – their introduction tells all the guests that their students at the art school and they’re spending their time off visiting us! The individual interactions I had with all the characters were the sweetest and some of my favorite Disney moments to memory (just look at how happy I am in all these pictures!). There’s also a time where all the characters dance around the dining room to a celebration song, and I was probably happier than most of the toddlers in the room. It was truly such a happy moment!

Overall, I’d highly recommend breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace! I’ve also heard rave reviews about their lunch and dinner menus, though the characters are only available for breakfast and lunch. If you love your experience, or can’t quite make it yet, they do sell plushies and key chains of the characters at the resort gift shop in their specific costumes! I hope to be able to go back on one of my future trips, too!

Have a terrific day!
