Since its opened, I’ve always loved staying at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort. Typically, I visit with my mom and dad, and we usually stay in a standard room with two queen beds. Unfortunately, the only room type available was the one room family suite, which has one king-sized bed and a twin-sized bunk bed in a separate room.
The Room
When you first walk in, you enter a small room with the bunk bed, a small dresser, a full size mirror, and a T.V. Connecting that room with the main bedroom, you’ll find a small room with a sink, then a door to the bathroom. The main bedroom has the king bed, two nightstands, a desk, a cabinet, a T.V., and a huge window. Our room overlooked the pool, which had a gorgeous view, but almost any room in the resort will have a view of the mountains.
I stayed in the bunk bed room. While the bed itself was fairly comfortable, I didn’t love the sheets that came with it (they were zippered, designed for kids). It was a simple fix, though. After a quick trip to the front desk, I was able to get regular sheets, which greatly improved my comfort level. The only thing I really didn’t like about my room was the lack of natural daylight.
If I had the choice, I would probably opt for the standard queen room in the future. While the family suite would be a great option for a family with younger kids, I felt that the standard rooms had a bit more space (they didn’t have the extra wall) and were more comfortable for older guests.
The Resort
The DreamMore Resort is always so gorgeous! Almost everywhere around the resort has stunning places to take pictures. Over the summer, the pool is a great place for a relaxing swim. In the winter, it becomes a festive light show you can watch right from your window. There’s also a quick-service cafe, called the Pantry, where you can get all kinds of sweet treats, including the famous and fresh-made Dollywood Cinnamon bread.
If you’re considering staying at the DreamMore, I highly recommend it! It’s a beautiful and relaxing hotel with a great location, even if you’re not looking to visit Dollywood on your trip.
Have you ever stayed at this resort?
Have a terrific day,
