My Favorite Christmas Memories

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you and your families are having a great day!

Recently, I published a post all about my holiday favorites. However, there was one thing missing- my favorite Christmas memories. I knew that a little blurb about it on my last post wouldn’t be enough, so I decided to share some of my favorite Christmas memories right here.

I don’t remember many of the specific details from Christmas when I was young, but I do remember waking up on Christmas morning and going downstairs to see my toys all set up. I was into Playmobil when I was really little, so my dad would set up the set and all the little people with their accessories. I think the morning I remember best is when I got a Disney World monorail toy set, complete with the different resorts and everything. Even back then, I was a huge Disney fan, and I loved all the parks play sets (I think I may still have them stored somewhere). When I was that young, I’d usually watch the Disney Christmas Parade on TV, and that afternoon, I would start my vacation with my family.

As I got older, I began to travel more for the holidays. One year, my dad had a conference that was near Anaheim at the beginning of November, and my family was lucky enough to see Disneyland switch from Halloween to Christmas overnight. I remember loving Disneyland at Christmas, and I do plan on going back one day.

I attended Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party a few time when I was little. I remember being able to see all the different characters in Christmas outfits, the Christmas parade, and the toy soldiers. I’m so fortunate to be able to return this year and see how much the Christmas Party has changed, and just enjoy all the holiday magic!

Back in 2012, my dance and school schedules fell just the right way and I was able to be away on Christmas day. That year, I went to Chef Mickey’s for Christmas breakfast, Magic Kingdom on Christmas morning, and Epcot in the afternoon after Magic Kingdom got to be too crazy. I remember having a magical moment with the Christmas storyteller in the UK Pavilion, where I got to participate in the storytelling and even got a little Christmas bell.

Last year, I was also able to spend the holidays in Orlando. Although I didn’t spend Christmas day at Disney, I had Christmas brunch at Toothsome, and went to SeaWorld for the afternoon. I got to experience Disney Springs at Christmas for the first time as well.

For the past few years, I’ve been going to Busch Gardens ChristmasTown and Dollywood’s Smokey Mountain Christmas either around Thanksgiving or after Christmas. Sometimes, my family will throw Myrtle Beach, SC into the loop. I love these three destinations, and at the holidays, they’re so festive!

This year is probably my most magical yet. I’ll not only be going to MVMCP, but I’ll get to go to most of the Central Florida parks, and a few other destinations on my way home, and I’ll be able to share all of it with you! Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube Channel (linked down below), and follow my blog to see all the content I post from my holiday vacation!

In the meantime, I’d love to hear what some of your favorite holiday memories are in the comments below, or even what you’re doing for the holidays this year!

Merry Christmas,

Toni
