A Special Announcement with Give Kids the World

Hello lovelies! If you’ve been following along recently, you’ll know I’ve been given some pretty great blogging opportunities- I’m currently a Jadelynn Brooke High School Ambassador, and I’ll be guest posting for Strategy Girl and CollegeXpress! Today, I am so proud to announce that I am going to be an influencer ambassador for Give Kids the World! I know not everyone is familiar with GKTW, so I thought putting together a little introduction about them would be the best way to start this out!

Give Kids the World Village is a non-profit organization based in Kissimmee, FL and works with organizations like Make-a-Wish (and over 230 more similar groups) to fulfill kid’s wishes to visit the Central Florida theme parks. The Village hosts wish families for a week-long vacation, providing housing, transportation, meals, park tickets, and more fun surprises at no cost to the families.

Give Kids the World was founded by Henri Landwirth, a hotelier and holocaust survivor who had fulfilled the overnight stay portion of wishes. One child, Amy, passed away before she was able to have her wish fulfilled. Henri wanted to make sure no more children passed away before their wish could be fulfilled, so he took on an entire wish fulfillment process and started Give Kids the World Village. Originally, he worked with local Florida hotels and resorts to accommodate the children. Now, Give Kids the World Village is an 84-acre resort that provides everything the wish families from all over the world need, from lodging to entertainment.

To date, Give Kids the World has been able to support more than 165,000 families from all 50 states and over 75 countries since its inception in 1986, and can even arrange a trip within as little as 24 hours. Companies such as Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, SeaWorld Orlando, Hasbro, Walmart, Perkins, and Boston Market have assisted GKTW with their mission of providing families a week-long, no cost, and magical vacation. Many local residents, as well as college students from across the country, also volunteer to provide the best trip possible for Village guests.

I am so excited to be partnering with Give Kids the World to try to share their message, and help kids fulfill their wishes! I firmly believe in the power of everyday magic, and GKTW works to create so much magic for the kids who need it the most. I fully support their message and mission, and can’t wait to see what’s to come!

See ya real soon,

Toni
