Loving Lately: May Favorites

May was such a crazy month! Between finals and end of semester celebrations, time has just been flying by. Now that it’s come to a close and I’ve had some time off, I took some time to reflect back on my month. Today, I’ll be sharing my May favorites!

AS Revival

If you know me, you know that Altar’d State is one of my all-time favorite stores. I love pretty much everything in the store, but strangely, I never bought anything from their athleisure line, AS Revival, until recently. I got the __ top and instantly fell in love. It was so comfy and perfect for summer! It was slightly cropped but was the exact match for all of my high-waisted bottoms (which take up most of my closet). After wearing it once, I knew I needed to head back to Altar’d State and get it in more colors!

Abercrombie & Fitch

In case you haven’t heard, Abercrombie is cool again. Like, really cool. I was obsessed with Abercrombie as a kid and it was pretty much all I wore, but like most of us, I grew out of the style as I started to grow up.

I recently saw a bunch of creators wearing cute outfits, and when looking into their LiketoKnow. It, I was surprised to find that so much of it came from Abercrombie! Just browsing the website, it was easy for me to fill up my wishlist, and I’ve even bought a few items already and fell in love at first site (like an adorable dress and the cutest tops, as well as a leather jacket). I was also able to venture to an outlet and found some of my wishlist items for a great price.

Squishmallows

Yes, I jumped on the Squishmallow bandwagon. As someone who loves all things cute and cuddly, it took quite a bit of resistance before I gave into the fluff. My first was Dawn the Deer and she came from BoxLunch Gifts. Since then, I’ve been on the Squishmallow hunt, and my best friend and I will usually FaceTime each other whenever we find new ones- we now have some we’re going to swap when we meet up! Right now, I’m trying to find more Disney ones to add to my collection.

Younger (on Hulu)

With more free time, I’ve had more time to watch fun videos and shows! Aside from getting through my never-ending YouTube watch later list, I recently discovered Younger while watching TV one day. The show had such a fun energy and I loved that the plot was anchored in an industry I could see myself working in one day! After discovering it was on Hulu, I started binge watching the show from the very beginning. I’m currently in the middle of Season 3 and I’ve been watching new episodes every day!

If you’re interested in young adult sitcoms with a bit of drama and an influence of the NYC media industry, this is the show for you. There are seven seasons in total with twelve episodes that are about a half hour each. It’s so engaging and the characters are so easy to fall in love with!

New BoxLunch Goodies

I am a total nerd, and BoxLunch has only been fueling my obsession with bringing everyday magic to life with my style.

A few weeks ago, I got to collaborate with the company and create a TikTok featuring some merchandise from the Disneyland 65th anniversary collection by Funko. I’ve had the backpack for a while now, and I was so happy to get the coordinating tote and sweatshirt. To help me celebrate the end of the semester and good grades, my mom gifted me a Danielle Nicole crossbody, featuring Pooh & friends with little balloons- it’s so adorable! I love absolutely everything BoxLunch has in store and can’t wait to shop even more new arrivals.

Disney Small Shops

I am such a fan of shopping small, and Disney small shops are certainly the most magical! This past month, Fintastic Configuration and Lillian & Co. have certainly taken the lead.

Fintastic Configuration released their DAK-inspired line this month. If you know me, you know I love Disney’s Animal Kingdom, so I needed the matching necklace and earring set. Not only are they so cute, they’re the perfect reminder of my happy place during difficult times. I can’t wait to wear them in front of the Tree of Life, hopefully one day soon!

Lillian & Co. has been a recent rising favorite of mine. Their bangles are perfectly styled for any outfit, and my mom gifted me two of their necklaces for getting into my department’s honor society! One has two chains and says “with all the strength of a raging fire,” the other is a vertical pendant on a long chain that says “keep moving forward.” Both quotes are incredibly meaningful to me, and I wear them both with such pride.

SOUR

I think it’s official- I love Olivia Rodrigo’s debut album. I’ve listened to all of the songs at least three times now and they’re all amazing! It’s such a great album to have on in the background while I’m working my remote summer job, or for just jamming out with now long-distance friends over FaceTime. I’ve also heard rumors of a second album entitled “Sweet” releasing soon, and I hope it’s true. If you haven’t yet, you definitely need to listen!

These May favorites certainly helped to brighten up an otherwise chaotic month. What were some of your favorites this month? I hope we have some in common!

Have a terrific day,
