Welcome back to another Magic Monday!
I’m on a mission to create a happier life and find the magic in everyday, so every week on Monday, I’m share my tales from the previous week in hopes of sharing my journey in creating magic and joy.
Another week of summer is down, and gosh, it’s just moving too fast! My fall semester schedule is not intense (like, at all), but I’m definitely going to miss the warm weather and happy days!
What I Did
Monday: There’s nothing better than starting the week with friends! I went up to visit Caleb and some of his hometown friends. We watched some Disney+ and just hung out, which is always fun! I’ve really been trying to remember to include fun days in my schedule where I’m not concerned about getting to much done. I’d say this was the model day.
Tuesday: Time for a refresh- I got my hair cut and recolored in the morning and I’m obsessed with how it came out! I spent the afternoon working on my portfolio and my blog and scheduled out quite a bit of content for the upcoming week. One of the biggest surprises was that I had a TikTok go *slightly* viral – it was so cool!
Wednesday: It was due time for a break, so I had a bit of a do-nothing day! I worked on my portfolio for a bit, watched the next episode of Hell’s Kitchen, and just had an all-around casual summer day.
Thursday: I haven’t relaxed this much in a while! After sleeping in, I pretty much spent the day watching TikToks and relaxing. I dropped off some completed books and picked up some new ones at the library, grabbed lunch at Chipotle, and shopped for a couple essentials that were in low stock on the way home. I also finished Sarah Knight’s Get Your Sh*t Together, which I really enjoyed, and spent the night watching YouTube videos with Caleb on FaceTime.
Oh, and I got some really amazing news that I’ll be announcing soon, so stay tuned!
Friday: My family and I took a day trip up to Ithaca, New York! It’s one of my favorite places to visit, especially over the summer, since the area is so gorgeous. We walked around Cornell and got ice cream at the Dairy Barn before visiting each of the waterfalls in the area. It was honestly such a perfect and casual adventure, I couldn’t have asked for a better day! (p.s. I vlogged the day, so be sure to check out my YouTube channel to see the video!).
Saturday: I slept in after a long Friday and got straight to work on processing my content from Ithaca. I edited all my pictures and started to schedule some social media posts for the next two weeks (yes, I use a scheduling platform to make my life easier!). My parents also shared some most magical news with me; I cried tears of pure joy, then started to work on my next project. I don’t want to give too much away yet, but keep your eyes peeled on my social media pages!
Sunday: Sunday was yet another casual day. Though it was rainy, I got to visit Caleb. We finished the Loki series and watched some other fun videos and shows- I’ve slowly been introducing him to more and more creators too! Relaxing days like these help me stay balanced and calm and prevent me from overworking myself.
What I’m Loving:
Reads: I started Bob Iger’s book “The Ride of a Lifetime” and I’m really enjoying it so far! I may have disagreed with some of his creative decisions during his time as CEO, but I love the new insight and perspective this book provides! The way he approaches leadership lessons is so valuable as well. I definitely recommend it to any college student or young professional, especially one who’s a Disney fan!
Watch: I am STUNNED by the Loki series finale! If you’ve watched it, let me know since I’d love to discuss it. I’m also genuinely enjoying the humor
Creators: I have to give a shoutout to Pixie Dusted Castles on YouTube! Maria became an online Disney friend of mine and she is so sweet, but I absolutely loved her 21st birthday vlog. She’s definitely an up and coming Disney creator and I highly recommend taking a look at her videos and Instagram page.
Beauty: I just started Trinny London products this week, but I don’t think it’s too soon to say I’m obsessed. It’s easily my favorite skincare products that I’ve ever used, keeping my skin feeling and looking perfect even on hot and sweaty days! I’ll be writing a blog post soon with even more info, so be sure to check it out!
Until next Magic Monday, have a terrific week!
