Happy Spring Break! I’m so happy that the weather is finally warming up, especially since I’m going on vacation. My family and I are going on a road trip to a few different places. I know a lot of people have trouble finding entertainment on long road trips, so I thought today would be the perfect time to share what I do to have the best road trip possible!
The first thing I do with any road trip is dress comfortably. If I’m going to be in a car for a long time, dressing comfortably helps me from getting too antsy, and if I need to move around a little, it’s easy for me to do so. When it’s colder out, I’ll often bring a blanket to keep myself warm. Sometimes I’ll bring a pillow if I feel like I’ll want to take a nap. This weekend, I’m wearing a pair of Lilly Pulitzer Luxletic leggings and a comfy Vineyard Vines shirt.
The second most important thing for any car trip is snacks. When you’re on a road trip, you definitely want to make sure you have food and water all the time, as you don’t want to be desperate for something to eat and drink and not have anywhere nearby to stop. Personally, I like to have Goldfish crackers or Teddy Grahams with me because I can have as many or as few as I want, and they aren’t they won’t make a big mess in the car. I also like having a big bottle of water with me so I won’t have to worry about running out.
Now for the fun part- entertainment. There’s so much to do in the car, even if it doesn’t seem like it. You can watch a movie or a TV series off iTunes, or if you have Netflix, using the download and go feature (this is honestly such a lifesaver). If you’re in a better connection area, Youtube videos are great in the car. Before I leave, I’ll download a bunch of games that don’t require WiFi so I can play them even with the worst cell service. Some of my favorites are Tsum Tsum, Sandbox, Exploding Kittens on single player(it’s a digital card game that I highly recommend), and Disney Emoji Blitz. I’ll also read in the car sometimes, whether it be a great new book or some blog posts that I’ve been waiting to look at. If I have homework, I’ll work on assignments that don’t require a textbook or the use of google classroom.
This weekend, Snapchat is running the Great Snapchat Egg Hunt, which is super fun and totally cute. On the map, you tap on eggs you’re near, and when you open them, a cute little bunny pops out! It kind of reminds me of Pokémon Go because you can either take a picture with the bunny on your front camera, or there’s a cute bunny filter to use on your selfie camera. There’s even a leaderboard to see how you stack up against your friends! It’s great for car trips because you can get a lot of eggs as you drive by them.
I hope you guys enjoy this post, and that you have a great Spring Break!
Lots of love,
Toni
