Hey everyone! I thought I’d try something a little different this year and post my monthly favorites! I’m not sure if this is something you’ll like, but I figured it’s definitely worth a try.
On these posts, I’ll be sharing my favorite products, items, songs, etc. of the month! If I’m loving it, I’ll be sharing it! Be sure to let me know if there’s anything you want me to try in the comments below!
Makeup
Dose of Colors Mickey Mouse Collection:I got the eyeshadow palette and three lip colors for Christmas, and I am OBSESSED (and not just because it’s Disney makeup). The colors and pigmentation are beautiful and feel great on. The formulas also last almost all day and don’t irritate my skin. I love that the collection is based on neutrals that can be played up for a more dramatic look.
Huda Beauty New Nude Palette:Huda Beauty is definitely my current favorite makeup brand, and she delivers again. I’m a huge fan of the Rose Gold Remastered and Desert Dusk palettes, and when I saw the New Nude, I immediately fell in love. I love how there are so many pinks and purples and mauves that look beautiful for any type of look, and it’s not a stereotypical brown and gold palette. I’d have to say that my favorite colors are daydream, excite, fantasy, excite, tease, teddy, and spanked, even though I love them all! Like her earlier palettes, the pigmentation is pretty great, and I haven’t had any issues with the colors irritating my eyes or creasing easily (I know, I really should start using eye primer on a regular basis).
Apps
Adobe Premiere Rush CC:I will totally admit this- I had been using iMovie for editing all the videos on my YouTube channel (I wanted more practice before I looked into upgrading to an expensive software). I needed to edit something for a project, but iMovie wasn’t working for what I needed. I remembered that there was an Adobe clip app that I used in the past for other projects, and when I searched for it, I saw that Adobe had released a new app! I have to say that I loved it so much I tried to do a vlog on it and it was an amazing experience. The only downside is that the app doesn’t come with any sound effects like iMovie, but I can use voiceover or downloads to get them in. I hope to do a more comprehensive review and comparison of the two apps soon!
Influenster & LikeToKnow. It:I will totally admit that I’ve been looking at these apps on and off for months now, but I didn’t reallystart using them until recently. I find it so helpful that I can look up literally anything in fashion and beauty to find exactly what I want, and see what other people think of products! Both are definitely apps I will be using more, and be sure to find my page on Influenster (@pinkdaysblog)! I was also accepted to be an Influencer on LikeToKnow. It, so you should definitely find me on their website or app!
Stores
My Oh My Supply Co.:I’ve been eyeing up MOMSco’s products for quite some time, but I’ve really been obsessing over some of their newer items in the past few months. I think I’ve finally narrowed down what I want to order, and trust me, this was no easy feat.
Lauren James:I will fully admit that I have loved the Lauren James brand for quite some time now, but this month, I’ve been loving all their sales and newer releases. Their spring and summer lines are usually my favorite, and I can’t wait to see what they release!
Trends
Scrunchies:I know I’m a little late to the game on this one, but I am really loving the scrunchie trend. I saved all my Disney World scrunchies from when I was little and I’ve been wearing them constantly. I’m the kind of person who loves matching everything in my outfit, and having cute accessories. I’ve been looking at places to get a few new scrunchies, and I’ve seen a bunch of cute regular and Disney ones on Etsy, and Lilly Pulitzer ones from Etsy and @beautickled on Instagram.
Kendra Scott Necklaces:Again, I am fully aware that this isn’t a new trend, and that Kendra necklaces are more of an outfit staple at this point. However, I got my first necklace after Christmas, and I am loving it! It has a rose gold chain and a sparkly, iridescent stone. I love the simplicity of the necklaces, and how you have the option to customize the necklace entirely! I would definitely like to try more pieces from Kendra Scott in the future.
I truly enjoyed compiling a list of my favorites this month, and I’d love to hear what you think of them, and if you’d like to see another post like this in the upcoming months!
See ya real soon,
