Welcome back everyone to my tales of Spring Break 2018!
Thursday was another driving day. We went to Duck Donuts for breakfast and then went straight to the road.
We stopped at Chick-fil-a for lunch, and made a few other little stops. However, two of those stops were very important.
The first was a stop at Rural King, an agricultural store that sells a little bit of everything. My family first discovered the store a little over a year ago because they had the exact battery my dad needed for a truck at a really good price. Even though it’s pretty far from where I live, it is on the way to a lot of the places we go on vacation. While there were some other things we picked up, I adopted 4 baby ducks. I’ve been anticipating this for a little while, and they aren’t officially mine- I’m raising them for someone I know who has a pond and wants ducks at their pond, but can’t raise them themselves. Their names are Mr. Quackers, Mr. Ping, Ducky Momo, and Darkwing Duck, and they are absolutely adorable! I will definitely be posting more about them and my adventures in raising and fostering them.
The second important stop was also fun. One of my best friends lives about 4 hours away from me, and we don’t get to see each other a lot because we both have really busy schedules. When we both have an opportunity, we usually try to see each other for a little bit. Thankfully, the area where she lives was on my way home, and she was available, so we got to meet up for dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse. It was really nice to see her again, especially since I haven’t seen her in a while, and we had a ton of fun together.
Thank you so much for continuing to read my posts about my Spring Break! A new one will be up tomorrow!
Sincerely,
Toni
